After breakfast check – out from the hotel and drive to Ujjain, an ancient city beside the Kshipra River in the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. An important Hindu pilgrimage destination, it’s known for the centuries old Mahakaleshwar Temple, a towering structure with a distinctively ornate roof. After early morning leave for Mahakaleswar Temple (Jyotirlinga): Jyotirlinga is one of the most famous Hindu temples dedicated to Lord Shiva and is one of the twelve Jyotirlingams, which are supposed to be the most sacred abodes of Lord Shiva. It is located in the ancient city of Ujjain. The presiding deity, Lord Shiva in the lingam form is believed to be Swayambhu, deriving currents of power (Shakti) from within itself as against the other images and lingams that are ritually established and invested with mantra-shakti. After sightseeing of Ujjain, drive to Omkareshwar (Jyotirlinga) located in Madhya Pradesh. It is located at a distance of about 12 miles from Mortakka in Madhya Pradesh. Omkareshwar: Omkareshwar is a Hindu temple dedicated to God Shiva. It is one of the 12 revered Jyotirlinga shrines of Shiva. It is on an island called Mandhata or Shivapuri in the Narmada river; the shape of the island is said to be like the Hindu ॐ symbol. There are two temples here, one to Omkareshwar (whose name means “Lord of Omkaara or the Lord of the Om Sound”) and one to Mamleshwar (whose name means “Immortal lord” or “lord of the Immortals or Devas”). But as per the sloka on dwadash jyotirligam, Mamleshwar is the jyotirling, which is on other side of Narmada river. After Pooja and darshan, Return back to Indore. Virpur is a small village, It is situated on National Highway No. 8b. This village had become holy after the birth of Shri Jalaram Bapa.
