Overview
This 10-day itinerary blends spiritual exploration with cultural heritage across northern India. Starting in Delhi, travelers are whisked to Amritsar to witness the sacred Golden Temple and the dramatic Wagah Border ceremony. The journey continues into the Himalayan foothills, with stops in Dharamshala and Kangra to visit revered temples like Brajeshwari Devi and Chamunda Devi. Pilgrims then proceed through Chintpurni and Jwalamukhi before heading to Naina Devi and the modern city of Chandigarh. Highlights there include the famed Mansa Devi and Chandi Mandir shrines. The penultimate day features a visit to Shakumbari Devi Temple en route back to Delhi. Throughout the trip, guests enjoy seamless travel, comfortable accommodations, and immersive experiences at some of India's most spiritually significant sites.
Tour Plan
Day 1: Arrival in Delhi
Arrive at Delhi Airport in the morning. After clearing immigration and collecting your luggage, proceed to the arrival lounge for pickup and a private transfer to your hotel. Overnight stay in Delhi.
Day 2: Delhi to Amritsar (Flight)
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to the airport for your flight to Amritsar. Upon arrival, you’ll be picked up and escorted to your hotel for check-in. Overnight stay in Amritsar.
Day 3: Amritsar – Golden Temple & Wagah Border
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel, then begin your day with a visit to the revered Golden Temple. Continue to Jallianwala Bagh, a poignant site of historical significance. In the afternoon, head to the Wagah Border to witness the electrifying Indo-Pak flag-lowering ceremony. Overnight in Amritsar.
Day 4: Amritsar to Dharamshala (Drive)
After breakfast, check out and drive to the scenic hill town of Dharamshala. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel and relax. Overnight stay in Dharamshala.
Day 5: Dharamshala – Excursion to Kangra
After breakfast, set out for an excursion to Kangra to visit the ancient Brajeshwari Devi Temple, steeped in myth and history. Later, return to Dharamshala. Overnight stay.
Day 6: Dharamshala to Jwalamukhi via Chintpurni & Chamunda Devi
Following breakfast, check out and journey to Jwalamukhi. En route, visit Chintpurni Devi Temple, devoted to the goddess without a head—Chhinnamastika Devi—and then stop at Chamunda Devi Temple. Arrive at Jwalamukhi and check in for an overnight stay.
Day 7: Jwalamukhi to Chandigarh via Naina Devi
After breakfast, check out and travel to Chandigarh. On the way, visit Naina Devi Temple, believed to be where the eyes of Sati fell. Continue to Chandigarh and check in at your hotel. Overnight stay.
Day 8: Chandigarh – Mansa Devi & Chandi Devi Temples
Begin early with visits to Mansa Devi Temple in Panchkula and Chandi Mandir, both sacred Siddh Peeths revered in Hindu tradition. Learn about the mythological origins and significance of each shrine. Return to Chandigarh for overnight stay.
Day 9: Chandigarh to Delhi via Shakumbari Devi Temple
After breakfast, depart for Delhi. En route, stop at the Shakumbari Devi Temple, dedicated to the fierce form of Goddess Durga who vanquished the demon king Mahishasur. On arrival in Delhi, check in at your hotel. Overnight stay.
Day 10: Departure from Delhi
Enjoy your final breakfast at the hotel. Later, check out and proceed to the airport for your onward journey.
