Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1300m)
Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative. After completing the airport formalities, you will be transferred to your hotel, where you can relax and settle in after your journey. Overnight stay
Day 02: Kathmandu Sightseeing
After enjoying breakfast at your hotel, you will begin a guided sightseeing tour of some of Kathmandu's most iconic spiritual and cultural landmarks. The tour includes a visit to the sacred Pashupatinath Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva; the serene Jal Narayan (also known as the Sleeping Vishnu); and the ancient Swayambhunath Stupa, also known as the Monkey Temple, which offers panoramic views of the Kathmandu Valley. Day 03: Kathmandu – Timure 1900m (151 km)
Embark on an adventurous journey from Kathmandu to the Kyirong border via the Pasang Lhamu highway, enjoying approximately 6 -7 hours of scenic drive in a luxurious private vehicle. This border, established post the 2015 earthquake, offers an exciting and off-road route with captivating landscape views. You will be transfer to the Hotel. Overnight at Hotel
Day 04: Timure – Kyirong (2,900m) - 24 km
After having your wonderful breakfast you will drive to Timure Nepal/China border. Upon reaching the Kyirong border, expect around 1.5 hours for immigration procedures. After completion, meet our Tibetan guide and journey approximately 24 kilometers, taking around 40 minutes, to Kyirong City, also known as Jilong City in China. This burgeoning urban center is primed for becoming a key hub for China's railway service. Explore the city's charm and surrounding quaint villages to delve into the local culture and scenery. Day 05: Kyirong - Saga (4,500m) (270km) 5 hour drive
After breakfast, You will visit Pakchholing Monastery, drive uphill to Saga Town, where as you will explore the beautiful water falls, cross the Guntala Pass (5226m). Enjoy panoramic views of the great Himalayan range and the vast Tibetan dry landscape, creating a sense of traveling through mountains and desert. Along the way, marvel at an impressive waterfall near the town. After a 5-hour drive, arrive in Saga Town, situated on the high-altitude banks of the Bhramaputra River. Overnight at hotel
Day 06: Rest Day in Saga (4,500m)
Rest day in at Saga for acclimatization. Explore Saga market and hillside for light activity. Engage in chanting or singing Bhanjan for positive vibes. All meals provided by field staff as per the schedule. Overnight at Hotel
Day 07: Saga (4,500m) (445km) - Chui Gompa (Bank of Lake Mansarovar) 7 hrs drive
Among the days of the Yatra, today is of utmost significance as we are poised to have Darshan of the holy Lake Mansarovar. En route to Mansarovar, the journey unfolds through the picturesque Tibetan town Dongba. Lunch will be served during the journey. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to a Guest House for a comfortable stay. Overnight stay at Guest house
Day 08: Mansarovar - Darchen (4650m) 50 km 30 minutes drives
Begin your day with a holy bath and offerings at the bank of the sacred Lake. After completing the worship, enjoy your breakfast before embarking on a 3 ½-hour clockwise Parikrama around the holy lake by vehicle. In the evening, proceed to Darchen for an overnight stay. Darchen serves as the base camp of Mount Kailash, offering a captivating view of the sacred mountain peak. Rest and recharge at the hotel for the spiritual journey ahead Overnight stay at Hotel
Day 09: Darchen -Yama Dwar Via Dirapuk (4,950 m) 8km drive/13 km Trek
After having breakfast, embark on a drive to Yama Dwara (8 km/30 hours), then commence a trek to Dirapuk (4,950 m) covering 13 km in approximately 6 hours. The journey unfolds breathtaking landscapes and promises an immersive trekking experience."
Yam Dwar is the official starting point of the trek, one encounters the gateway to the heavenly abode of Lord Shiva. Also known as Tarboche, Tibetans mark this spot with prayer flag poles installed yearly on the full moon day of the fourth lunar month. The area is adorned with vibrant prayer flags, symbolizing liberation from the shackles of life and death. The group divides here, with some embarking on the Kora trek while others, facing challenges or health issues, return to Darchen.
The trek unveils the breathtaking south face of Mount Kailash, revealing a picturesque landscape that feels like an entry into heaven. The mountains, adorned with caves and engraved faces, emanate a sense of divine presence, creating a truly mesmerizing experience. Overnight stay at Guest house
Note: The client does not want to go for the Kailash Parikrama and stay in at Darchen extra nights. Our company will provide you same categories normal Guest House room of Dirapuk and Zutulpuk.
Day 10: Dirapuk -Trek to Zuthulphuk (4850 m)-Dolma La Pass (5600 m) 22 km / 9 hrs.
Embark on an early morning trek of approx. 6 kilometers from Dirapuk Monastery to reach an elevation of 5430 meters, offering breathtaking views of the sunrise over the northwest slope of Mount Kailash. Proceed with a 3 kilometer trek to Dolma La Pass, the highest point at 5630 meters, adorned with prayer flags. Exercise caution due to icy and rocky terrain.
Upon successfully crossing Dolma La Pass, discover the emerald-green Lake of Compassion (Gauri Kunda), believed to purify sins with a dip. Witness thick glaciers on Mount Kailash's northwest slope. Descend gradually trek 13 kilometer to the valley beneath the southeast foot, where Zutulpuk Monastery awaits. Encounter wildlife and find peaceful resting spots on the grasslands. Spend the night at Zutulpuk. Overnight stay at Guest house
Day 11: Zutulpuk - Saga (4,500m) (450km)
After an early breakfast, begin a 2-hour trek covering 12 kilometers to reach Darchen. Upon arrival, reunite with the group members who did not partake in the Parikrama, and they will be waiting for you with a coach. Then, commence the journey back, retracing the same route towards Saga town. Overnight stay hotel
Day 12: Saga- Kyirong (2900m) (3,600m) (270km)
After enjoying a delightful breakfast, we'll begin our journey back to Kyirong, following the same route we took previously. The drive to Kyirong is expected to last around 5 hours, during which we'll have the opportunity to appreciate the scenic views along the way. Overnight at Hotel
Day 13: Kyirong – Kathmandu (1300m) (175km)
After enjoying a hearty breakfast, we'll embark on a short drive of about 24 km to the Kyirong Border, also known as the Friendship Bridge. Here, we'll complete all the necessary immigration formalities on both the China and Nepal sides. Once completed, we'll begin our adventurous journey back to Kathmandu, covering a distance of 151 km via the same route. Get ready for an exhilarating ride along the scenic roads transfer Hotel. Day 14 Kathmandu - Onwards
After breakfast, check-out from hotel. Transfer to Kathmandu airport for flight onwards
